Thirsty? Be Honest

We all now by now that a reusable bottle filled with your child’s drink of choice is the best option for reducing waste and saving money on the go.  But what about those times (ie snack day, field trips, etc.) when you a disposable option is the only choice?

Even the greenest parents have to go with the flow sometimes, but that doesn’t mean we need to settle for non-recyclable drink pouches and juice boxes loaded with everything but juice.  Not when there’s an honest option out there.

Honest Tea’s new line of organic, low-sugar, fruit-flavored juice pouches are a great alternative to sugar-laden beverages. Each pouch is certified organic and contains less than half the sugar of most other pouch drinks.

And to deal with with those pesky pouches, Honest has partnered with Terracycle to help teach kids about the planet and motivate them to protect it.  Here’s how it works, you sign up with Terracycle and send in your

empty Honest juice pouches.  Terracycle recycles the pouches into cool bags and school supplies and Honest pays your school or organization $.02 for every pouch you send in.

Honest Kids pouches aee a win/win/win choice for your family, your school, and the planet.  But don’t take my word for it.  Give ‘em an honest try and let me know what you think. Want to win some samples?  I thought you’d never ask!  I’m giving away a case of Honest goodess that includes 12 bottles of Honest Tea and Honest Ade and a variety pack of 24 pouches of Honest Kids. How do you win?  Join our Green Parents Forum and leave me a comment on my member page telling me you’d like to enter.  Already a member?  Just go ahead and leave a comment on my page at the forum.  One lucky winner will be chosen at random on Thurs. Oct, 16 at 9pm EST. Honest.
