Summer Shoes Happy Fun Time

May 21, 2009 · Print This Article

My ex-boyfriend wasn’t good for much, but he did train me out of wearing flip-flops whilst traipsing around the dirty city all day. Don’t get me wrong– I still love my flip-flops, but I don’t love blackened, dirty feet, particularly not ones attached to my otherwise clean legs, so a good pair of summer shoes is a must. Terra Plana is a sustainable shoe company that uses recycled

plastic, re-purposed fabrics (from kimonos and quilts) and vegetable-tanned leather to construct their fabulous shoes. I’ve written about them before, but I have to say, I get asked about my Terra Plana shoes more often than about any other composition of clothing I own, including my gerbil skin cape. (Just kidding).
