Better Homes and Gardens Danny Seo was on CBS with some hints and tricks for a greener Halloween. Some of the ideas - buying LED Halloween lights - were just another reason to spend money but other ideas were pretty cute.

Bats from egg cartons, grinding up additional hard candies into powder for your coffee and painting rocks with glow-in-the-dark nontoxic paint that charges up by the sun were all good ideas that

didn’t energize you to buy tons of stuff.

What are you doing that is additional green that year for Halloween? I’ll be out of town but I plan to snag any leftover pumpkins come Sunday and roast the seeds and get them ready to put in the freezer. I’ve recently discovered a great pumpkin chocolate chip cookie recipe!
