After Christmas Sales - Stock up on Green Options for Next Year

If you enjoy a good after Christmas sale but are beginning to feel that nagging guilt every day you go shopping considering of all the things you shouldn’t be buying, here are some purchases you can feel good about.

• LED Christmas lights. whether you do put up a tree or decorate, using LED lights will use less electricity and last longer than conventional lights. Don’t buy them just for the sake of having them whether your old lights still work just fine though.
• Solar powered LED lights. whether you decorate outside, look for solar powered LED lights for the best possible outdoor decorating option.
• Recycled paper gift wrap, cards, gift tags and more. whether you know a store that has a large selection of recycled paper gift wrap and other goodies, check out its after Christmas sale. whether you still like to use some type of wrapping paper, recycled paper, on sale is a good option. And whether you can find anything that isn’t red or green it might work for other occasions as well.
• Tins, jars, boxes and bags. whether you want better, reusable wrapping alternatives for next year, look for metal, glass
  and fabric holiday containers at the after Christmas sales. Look for containers that can be recycled when they wear out or that contain recycled materials.
• Craft supplies. whether you had some handmade elements as a part of your holiday that year and want to continue the tradition next year, look for discounted Christmas themed craft supplies. possibly you need lots of Christmas fabric or stickers. whether you find it now, on sale, think of the head start you’ll have on next years crafts (or whether you procrastinate at least you bought it on sale).
• Ornaments. A large portion of my family limits gift giving to swapping ornaments and homemade food during the holidays. Last year, I bought ornaments for that year the week after Christmas. whether you found ornaments that were sustainably produced or made from recycled materials that year, go buy more after Christmas for gift giving next year.
